LET’S DIVE IN 🖤

Hello Hello and welcome back to The Self Care Sisterhood Podcast. I’m super pumped to dive into today’s conversation BUT before we do that—I have to let you know something exciting:

We’re officially gearing up for the 2025 Sisterhood Retreat. Ya’ll. I can’t even. If you’re newer around here and not quite in the loop let me catch you up—

The Sisterhood Retreat is is a 3-day boutique style retreat— designed to help you pause and reflect on where you’ve been, reignite your vision for where you’re going, and leave ready to rise up into the next chapter of your life with clarity and confidence. I design this space to be very intimate— so we’re talking a small group of like-hearted women who deeply desire to live a focused and intentional life. It’s gonna feel like the girls weekend you never knew existed. You’ll step away from the noise + pull of your everyday life to reconnect with yourself—mind, body, and spirit. You can expect calming practices (like breathwork, yoga, and ocean side journaling), deep conversations, and transformative workshops— ya’ll— can you already feel the stress leaving your body?!

I don’t play with these retreats. They truly are my fave type of work we do in this space bc I get to personalize + curate the entire experience from start to finish to help you reset, get clear on your vision, and leave with goals that actually matter to you. It’s cozy, it’s intentional, and we are doing a deep dive into the exact framework I’m teaching you today. If you’ve been craving clarity, momentum, and real support—this is for you. DM me “I’m interested” or head to the show notes to fill out the application and I’ll be in touch.

Okay— now let’s get into today’s episode.

HOW TO ACTUALLY CREATE WHAT YOU CRAVE

“Create what you crave” is something I say all the time here in this space. It’s become a bit of a mantra. And it sounds great, right?

But let’s be real for a second.

Saying the words is one thing.
Living them out is something else entirely.

My heart every time I create these conversations with you is that on the other end of these sound waves there’s YOU— in the trenches of your journey, pressing play on an episode bc you need someone in your ear, rallying with you and helping you make progress, getting inspired + filled up for whatever it is you feel called to do. AND. That you’re also exiting this time together LIVING OUT the things we talk about. It’s one thing to be a dreamer. It’s another to be a DOER, amen?

Today, I’m walking you through the exact framework I use in my own life to bridge the gap between those big visions + goals that get laid on my heart—and the real, day-to-day actions that actually bring that vision to life.

Today is not for you if you’re content sitting on the sidelines of your own life…
If you’re more committed to staying stuck than getting started…
or if you’re waiting for perfect conditions before you take the first step.

But it is for you if you're ready to show up differently.
If you're done letting fear or overwhelm lead the way.
If there's a tug on your heart you just can’t shake—one that says there’s more for you, and you’re finally ready to go after it.

Because creating a life you love doesn’t happen by accident.
It happens through intentional + focused action.

I PROMISE WE’LL DIVE INTO THE FRAMEWORK. BUT FIRST—A LITTLE TRUTH TALK:

One of the reasons I’m sharing who this episode is for is I don’t want you to get it twisted— Creating what you crave is hard.

But you know what’s even harder?

Waking up every day with a pit in your stomach because you don’t love what your day-to-day looks like.
Living on autopilot and watching everyone else live their dreams.
Feeling like you’re always “fine” or “busy” — and wondering if there’s more to life than that.

You get to choose your hard.
Yes—taking action is hard. But not taking action is hard, too.

What do I mean by “choosing your hard?” Well—

  • It’s hard to sit down and create content for your business when no one’s cheering you on…
but it’s harder to scroll through social and feel stuck while everyone else is growing.

  • It’s hard to wake up at 5am and move your body…
but it’s harder to feel uncomfortable in your own skin all day.

  • It’s hard to pour into your passions or pick up a hobby when you’re a full-time mom…
but it’s harder to not recognize the woman in the mirror anymore.

  • It’s hard to set boundaries and protect your peace…
but it’s harder to always say “yes” and slowly lose yourself in the process.

  • It’s hard to clean the kitchen or do the laundry after a long day…
but it’s harder to scroll and numb out while the chaos piles up around you.

It’s all “hard.” But one kind of hard leads to more of the same.
And the other? It leads to the life you’re craving.

So let’s not shy away from the hard that makes you proud. Let’s get practical. Here’s the framework I use to bridge the gap between the vision on my heart and the real-life action it takes to bring it to life:

THE "CREATE WHAT YOU CRAVE" FRAMEWORK 🖤

Think of this like an upside-down triangle.

You start at the top with a big, wide-open vision—the dream that’s been stirring in your heart.

And step by step, you narrow that down into focused, bite-sized actions—until you’re living it out in real time.

From dreaming to doing. From “some day” to “today.”

There are five parts to this framework, and I’ll walk us through each in detail. But first, here’s the overview:

✨ Cast the Vision
✨ Check In Quarterly
✨ Create a Monthly Game Plan
✨ Set Weekly Intentions
✨ Show Up with a Daily Focus

It's time to move from hoping to happening. From just dreaming it… to actually doing the dang thing. So let’s break down each piece of the framework:

① CAST THE VISION

When do you do this?
Anytime you need a reset—many people love doing this at the start of a new year, transitioning out of one season and into the next, or even around a birthday.

Why do we do this?
Because you need a direction before you can take intentional steps, right? Think of it like your GPS—without it, you’ll wander, and we want you to be clear on what you’re focusing on.

How do we do this?

  • Reflect on the past season: What worked? What didn’t? Take a moment to really think about it.

  • Define the areas of life where you want to grow. Be specific.

  • Use a tool like our Unstoppable Self Vision Workshop to get really clear on your vision.

  • Give your goals a loose spot on the calendar. Not every goal has to be a "January Goal" and not every goal that feels right in the moment needs to be tackled right now. Think of this as less of a TO-DO list and more like a collage of all the things you want to weave into your year. Let it flow and evolve as the year goes on.

② CHECK IN QUARTERLY

When?
Every 3 months—or whenever life shifts and you feel like it’s time for a reset.

Why?
This is your chance to course-correct and realign. Goals evolve, and so do you. Checking in helps you stay on track with what matters to you now—not what you thought mattered in January.

How?

  • Reflect on the last quarter: What’s been working? What hasn’t?

  • Ask yourself: Is this still aligned with the life I’m building? If not, it’s okay to adjust.

  • This is the perfect time to decide if a goal needs to be pulled into focus—or maybe it’s time to let it go. Not every goal is a "January goal." Sometimes, a goal that felt important in the beginning of the year might need to be revisited or even released.

  • Take a look at your goals: What’s working? What’s draining you?

  • Pick 1–3 goals to focus on this season. Keep it simple, manageable, and aligned with where you’re at right now.

  • Don’t forget to schedule joy, rest, and fun too. Balance is key.

③ CREATE A MONTHLY GAME PLAN

When?
At the end of the month, before the next one begins.

Why?
Because a clear plan keeps you focused and out of overwhelm. When you know where your energy is going, you feel more in control and less scattered.

How?

  • Decide what gets your energy this month. What are you going to intentionally focus on?

  • Choose goals for both your work and personal life. It’s not just about what you do in your career—your personal life needs just as much attention.

  • Break those goals down into smaller, actionable pieces. Big goals can feel overwhelming, so make them bite-sized and manageable.

  • Print your movement calendar. Get it in front of you so you can visualize your month ahead.

  • Schedule joy and margin like it’s a priority—because it is. Don’t just fill your calendar with to-dos. Leave space for rest, fun, and things that light you up.

Disclaimer: Less is more. We often overestimate what we can do in a single month, but we underestimate what we can accomplish by taking small steps consistently throughout the year. Focus on doing less, but doing it well, and you’ll be amazed at how much you can achieve.

④ SET WEEKLY INTENTIONS

When?
On Sundays—or whatever your “reset day” is. Find that day that helps you hit the reset button and prepare for the week ahead.

Why?
Because setting weekly intentions keeps you grounded in your priorities. It’s easy to get swept up in the chaos, but when you start with intention, you can move through your week with clarity and purpose.

How?

  • Map out your week. Get a clear picture of what’s coming up—appointments, meetings, family time, personal goals.

  • Choose your Top 3 priorities. What are the 3 things that, if accomplished, would make you feel like the week was a win?

  • Check in with your habits. Are they serving you? What do you need to adjust to stay aligned with your goals?

  • Plan your meals, your rest, your appointments. It’s not just about work. Make sure you’re scheduling time to recharge and take care of yourself.

  • Ask yourself: What would make this week feel good? Think beyond tasks and goals. How do you want to feel at the end of the week? What can you do to create that feeling?

⑤ Show Up with a Daily Focus

When?
Each morning—or as part of your PM routine to set yourself up for success tomorrow.

Why?
Because this is where things actually get done. You can plan and reflect all you want, but showing up with focus is where the magic happens.

How?

  • Time block your day. Set aside specific times for specific tasks, so you’re not scrambling or wasting time.

  • Write your Top 3 tasks. What are the most important things that need your attention today? Keep it simple and prioritize.

  • Track your habits. Check in with the daily habits that move the needle for you—are you sticking to them?

  • Celebrate the small wins. Progress is progress. Acknowledge your achievements, no matter how small—they add up!

REAL-LIFE EXAMPLES—

Okay. Now that we’ve gotten thru the framework, I know it helps to have a tangible examples, so let me show you how this framework plays out in real life:

Example 1: "I want to feel more energized and confident in my body."

This isn’t just about weight or size—it’s about feeling good in your own skin. Maybe you’ve been feeling tired, inconsistent with movement, or just a little off.

  • Vision: Feel strong, energized, and confident

  • Quarterly Focus: Prioritize movement + nourishment

  • May’s Goal: "Fuel + Move With Love" → Try 2 new classes, prep lunch 3x/week, and plan satisfying meals

  • Weekly Goal: Try one new class + prep 3 lunches

  • Daily Focus:

    • Friday: Research healthy lunch recipes to try this week

    • Saturday: Grocery shop + prep lunches for the week

    • Sunday: Find and sign up for a class to try this week

    • Monday–Friday: Fit in movement and meals that align with your goal

Simple steps = real momentum. It’s about building one small win at a time to create lasting change.

Example 2: "I want to build deeper connections with my family."

You’re craving more presence, less multitasking, and more meaningful memories.

  • Vision: More fun + intentional time together

  • Quarterly Focus: Family connection

  • May’s Goal: "Be Where My Feet Are" → One tech-free day per week, 1:1 kid dates, family weekend planning

  • Weekly Goal: Try out “Screen-Free Sundays” w/ a FUN activity

  • Daily Focus:

    • Thursday: Text family about your Sunday idea

    • Friday: Shop for picnic food

    • Sunday: Phones down. Go for a walk, play a board game, eat outside

Again—it’s not about doing more. It’s about doing what matters, on purpose. Small, intentional actions that lead to big, meaningful changes.

BUT WHAT IF YOU’RE STARTING IN MAY?

Maybe you’re listening to this and thinking:
“That all sounds amazing… but I didn’t start 2025 like this.” Or insert whatever time it is you’re hearing this.

Friend. Let me remind you that you’re not behind. You’re not too late. You’re right on time. If this is on your radar than THIS is the perfect time to dive in. This framework isn’t about January resolutions. It’s about creating what you crave, whenever you’re ready.

If you’re listening today and in need of a little reset, here’s how to jump in right now, whenever you’re listening:

✻ Ask yourself: What do I crave right now?
✻ Choose ONE goal for the next 90 days
✻ Break it into a monthly focus
✻ Choose one thing you can do this week
✻ And then? Take the smallest first step today.

That’s it. That’s how it begins.

So quick recap of ALLLL that we covered today in CREATING LIVES WE CRAVE:

  • Cast the Vision – You’ve gotta know where you want to go or otherwise you’ll be throwing spaghetti at the wall and hoping it sticks.

  • Check-In Quarterly – Realign yourself with what you said you wanted to achieve.

  • Set Weekly Intentions – Get focused on what’s a priority this week.

It can be easy to start thinking that you’re missing the mark, that you’re lost, or somehow “behind.” But friends— when I’m feeling that way I have to remember that I’m really just missing CLARITY. Maybe you just need clarity—and a system to help you move forward. And now you’ve got one.
