LET’S DIVE IN. đŸ–€

Hello HELLO friends! I can’t believe we’re already halfway through the year. Honestly— I keep joking that I’m still in March bc after the coffee shop opened I feel like life has been one big blur. But. If I pan back
just six months ago, we were setting our intentions, dreaming big, and diving into everything that 2025 was going to be. And now, here we are—already at the halfway point.

I’m curious, how are you feeling about the year so far? About your goals and focus and priorities? Are the things you said you wanted to do when that ball dropped sill calling to you or have things shifted a little? And remember— that’s okay. Goals shift. Life evolves. Not every goal you set in January is going to come with you in this season and that’s okay. You could be listening today and maybe you feel like you HAVE been making progress. I love that for you and I’m so proud of you. That takes WORK so let’s not forget that, right? Or maybe you’re with me right now thinking, “Ok wait— where did the time go?” Wherever you stand today—there’s absolutely no right way and there’s no rushing. There’s no deadline on the things that matter in your life— that’s your journey, ya know? So I want to remind you that whether you pressed play today bc you’ve been crushing 2025 or you pressed play bc you needed a little nudge— you are EXACTLY where you need to be. There are lessons in every piece of our journey. And pausing helps us seek those out and learn from them, right?

Before we jump in, though, I want to invite you to do something special with me today: I actually didn’t want to leave you empty handed when this episode was over. I believe in the power of reflecting and resetting so much that I created a printable workbook that pairs with everything we’re covering today. I know you might be listening to this on the go so pause what you’re doing real quick and grab your FREE Mid-Year Check-In Workbook so you can dive deeper into the reflection and planning we’re about to do when you’re at a place where you can sit down and really get into it. Trust me, it’s going to take this episode to the next level! You can grab it by clicking the link in the show notes or you can go to www.inspirebeautybritt.com/checkin to snag it. I’m so excited for you to work through this together with me.

LET’S START BY REFLECTING

So let’s start with a little pause. I know I know. It’s hard to sit down and pause your life. I get it. But this is where the MAGIC happens my friend. Print the workbook I’m gifting you today and put it with your morning routine stack and make the space for this. This isn’t about rushing to figure it all out—it’s about taking the time to reflect and understand where you’re at and where you want to go.

Now, grab your workbook and take a moment to reflect on these questions:

  • What were my original goals for the year? What did you dream about for 2025? Write them down. If you didn’t set any at the beginning of the year—that’s okay! Let’s start now. Jot down a couple of things you’d love to make progress on in the second half of the year.

  • What am I celebrating so far? This one can be tough for many of us. I know it can feel hard to pat yourself on the back, but hear me when I say—you deserve to celebrate. Maybe it’s a small win, maybe it’s a big one. But take a moment to reflect on all you’ve done.

And I know, celebrating ourselves can feel awkward or even hard sometimes, so let’s make it easier.

If you’re having a hard time with this, here are some tools to help jog your memory:

  • Check your camera roll: Scroll through your photos from the past few months. You might be surprised by the wins you’ve forgotten about.

  • Peek at your social media: If you’ve been sharing your journey publicly, your posts might be a great reminder of the little celebrations and milestones.

  • Look at your planner or calendar: We juggle so many things, and seeing everything you’ve done in writing can remind you of all the effort and progress that’s already happened.

  • Think about your energy: Have you been able to show up as your best self more than you realize? Even small shifts deserve a celebration.

  • Look at the way you’ve cared for yourself: Have you made time for rest, for joy, for health? These are all reasons to celebrate!

As you reflect, let yourself feel proud of how far you’ve come, even if you’re not where you want to be just yet. Okay next question—

  • What hasn’t been working well, and why? Okay, this one’s tough too. We all have things that didn’t go as planned, and that’s part of the process.

I want to encourage you to be gentle with yourself here. There’s no shame in things not working out exactly as you expected. But here’s the thing—understanding why something isn’t working can be a game-changer.

As you work through this prompt in your workbook, ask yourself:

  • Was there a pattern? Are there certain times or seasons that feel harder than others?

  • Were my goals too big, or were my actions misaligned with my priorities? Did the season shift unexpectedly? It’s okay if things didn’t align. Life ebbs and flows and what was once for you might not be anymore. Or we bit off more than we could handle. That’s okay. This is data. This is information that can help us plan out our next right steps.

  • What can I control? Think about what’s within your control. What habits, behaviors, and routines have been supporting your goals and what ones maybe haven’t. Again, no shame. Just data we’re collecting.

  • What has been grabbing my attention this year? We’ve all had our share of distractions. What has been pulling you away from your original goals? This is a great time to get honest about where your energy is going.

  • Where have I been consistent in a way that supports my goals? Think about the habits that are serving you well—whether that’s consistency in your wellness, your work, or your personal growth. What’s working?

Now, it’s fine to hear me chat thru this— but if you really want to take this to the next level and make it specific to your life, this is where the workbook will help guide you further, and we can do this together. Go ahead and spend some time answering each question thoughtfully. Let yourself settle into what’s coming up for you without rushing through it.

AND THEN LET’S MAKE MOVEMENT

The reflection is amazing friends. Most people don’t even pause to do that so I’m already so freaking proud of you. But the magic doesn’t come from knowledge— it comes from movement. So let’s talk about action. Before we dive into the questions, I want to remind you about the GROWTH method I use for setting goals and creating real progress. It’s not about perfection or measuring success based on some finish line. It’s about tracking your journey, embracing the process, and embodying the person you’re becoming along the way.

Each letter in GROWTH stands for something. Here’s a quick breakdown to keep in mind:

  • G: What’s your goal?

  • R: Why are you showing up for it? What’s your reason?

  • O: Who else (or what other people) will be impacted by this goal?

  • W: How will you check in with yourself weekly to stay aligned?

  • T: What’s your time frame for making it happen?

  • H: What habits, behaviors, or routines will you embody to support it?

So let’s talk about what’s next bc regardless of how this year has started I want you to know: You can start fresh right now. Six months into a year is the perfect time to realign. There’s no expiration date on your goals if they truly matter to you. It doesn’t matter that you’re not starting on January 1st. What matters is that you’re starting now—with what you’ve got and what you want to do moving forward.

Here are the prompts from your workbook to help guide your next steps:

  • What would progress look and feel like by the time the ball drops?
Progress isn’t something you wait for—it’s something you create every day. Picture yourself six months from now: You are someone who shows up for your health, your relationships, your career. You’re living with intention. And it feels empowering. You embody that version of yourself. Progress isn’t a destination—it’s the daily choices you make to live the life you desire.

  • What’s a solid, non-negotiable goal for the next six months?
Don’t overthink it—what do you really want to commit to? Get specific. Let’s not go for broad. No more “I want to be healthier.” Stop thinking about it—what are you committed to doing? What is part of who you are? So instead of saying, “I want to be healthier,” say, “I nourish my body with healthy, whole foods 80% of the time” or “I move my body with a 20-minute walk every morning.” When you attach your goals to your identity, they become part of who you already are—not something you wish for.

  • What new habits or routines will you implement to support your goal?
This isn’t about what you “might try” to do. It’s about what you do every single day. Maybe you prep your meals on Sundays so you can stick to your health goals during the week. Maybe you set a bedtime to ensure you get the rest you need. These are actions that embody the person you want to become. They are the daily routines that align with your vision—not tasks to check off.

  • What obstacles will you encounter, and how will you navigate them?
Life will throw challenges your way. But here’s the thing: You are the one who navigates those obstacles. You’re not just letting things happen to you—you’re actively adapting. When you face a roadblock, you don’t stop; you find ways to keep going. You adjust your plan. You ask for help. You stay flexible. Whatever it takes, you keep moving forward.

  • What resources will you leverage to succeed?
You are not alone in this journey. You leverage the tools, resources, and people that support your growth. Whether it’s a planner, a new app, or a friend to hold you accountable—these resources help you stay on track and keep moving forward. You don’t do it alone, and you don’t have to.

Take time with these questions. Your answers are the key to your game plan. And remember—there’s no rush. This is about creating the path forward with intention and heart.

let's do a mid year check in

With half of the year gone, I love to sit down and take inventory of where I’m at and where I’d like to move in the next 6 months.

It’s a moment to slow down and intentionally look at what’s working and what’s not. Assessing whether your goals + actions are in alignment with your overall vision and to tweak any methods / actions / behaviors that aren’t leading you closer to where you desire to move.

So let’s dive in! đŸ–€đŸ€ŸđŸŒ

OKAY. BUT WHAT HAPPENS WHEN

You feel far behind? You’re not “there” yet? Maybe you’ve fallen short or have a lot going on—trust me, I get it. You just took time to reflect and game plan, and now you're realizing you might not have been as focused or intentional as you hoped. Been there, done that, and I’m right here with you.

I’m sharing this because I’m a realist, and I would be doing you a disservice if I pretended everything was going to flow perfectly for the next six months. That’s just not how life works. Things happen. As much as we can plan and prep, there’s an element of life that’s unpredictable. What we can control, though, is how we show up and when we show up.

A lot of us have this instinct to throw in the towel when we feel like we’ve missed the mark. It’s why so many people set goals in January and never revisit them. But here’s the truth:

THE GOAL IS NOT ALWAYS THE PROBLEM— sometimes the issue is that we simply got off track.

And that’s OK.

So let’s get real with ourselves. This is your chance to get back up. Reassess. Realign. Refocus. No matter where you’re at in your journey, this is the season to get intentional again. Don’t let the feeling of falling behind stop you. Instead, take this moment to pause, reflect, and make any adjustments that are needed.

The beauty of setting goals that matter to you is that you don’t have to be perfect along the way. It's about course-correcting when life takes you off path. And I’m confident that when you dig into what needs focus and attention, you’ll find that getting back on track is exactly what will create lasting momentum for the rest of the year.

Alright friends. You’ve reflected. You’ve set a solid game plan in motion. And now, you’ve got the tools to adjust and realign when things feel off-track. Life’s not always smooth, but you have the power + agency to adapt and stay focused on what truly matters to you.

And one more reminder, grab your workbook, seriously. This work is amazing to think thru and I love that we got to be together today. But the next level of your journey is going to require pen to paper. Rubber meeting road. I designed this workbook to be your roadmap towards a wildly fulfilling year— not another one where you feel like you missed the mark and were too scattered and busy to move the needle. It’s not just about the goals you set, friends. I honestly don’t care whether you hit those or not— bc for me, it’s about taking focused + intentional action and celebrating yourself every step along the way. The goals at that point become the icing on the cake, ya know what I mean? So, grab it in the show notes or at inspirebeautybritt.com/checkin. Print it out. Work thru the q’s. Keep it somewhere you can see it. Talk about it with friends a loved ones so you have support and accountability. And don’t hesitate to come back to this episode and these Q’s anytime you need to reassess.

I hope today’s episode reminded you that your goals matter. How you show up matters. And I hope you’re inspired you to keep moving, stay focused, and embrace the next six months with intention. I can’t wait to cheer you on as you make progress toward the things that matter most to you. Be sure to tag me after you print out your workbook or listen to this episode. I love hearing and seeing all the things that are sticking with you in this season. Alright friends— have the best week and I’ll see you right here next week on The Self Care Sisterhood Podcast. đŸ–€
